An award-winning researcher and academic leader championing inclusive entrepreneurship and sustainable business models on a global scale. She is a Principal Investigator on major international grants, including a British Academy project in Jordan and a Horizon Europe initiative, building entrepreneurial capacity across a European consortium. Her work passionately empowers women-led businesses and integrates ethical AI into the service industries, bridging cutting-edge research with tangible impact. Dr. Vatankhah is a certified business coach and leads the TIBAM research centre, advancing research in tourism, international business, and marketing.
Professor Levent Altinay will share his experience of successful funding applications to the prestigious funding bodies including EU, Horizon, ESRC (Economic Social Research Council), Newton, British Academy, British Council and TUBITAK. During the workshop, Altinay will cover a wide range of topics including creative idea generation for research funding, formation of multidisciplinary research consortiums, use of networks, research design, dissemination of research findings and the generation of academically robust, practically meaningful research impact.
