Alaattin Başoda

Dr. Alaattin Başoda is an Associate Professor of Tourism at Aksaray University (Türkiye). He teaches psychology, social psychology, tourist behaviors in the hospitality and tourism industry, and tour guidance for undergraduates and graduates. His research interests include individual differences, mental health, tourism, tourist guiding education, and organizational behavior in tourism businesses. He completed his associate’s and undergraduate degree in tourist guiding and his master’s and Ph.D. in tourism management in Türkiye. In addition to his national and international academic publications, Başoda worked in managerial positions in national tourist development programs, international scientific conferences, travel agencies, and airlines. Başoda, a certified national tour guide, currently guides spiritual and mental health-concepted tours in Türkiye. Başoda, who possesses national and international scientific, social, and professional organizing skills, has managed nearly 400 events. His main hobbies are technology design, media management and life coaching.
