Vinnie Jauhari

BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Vinnie Jauhari is a distinguished leader in education transformation, currently serving as Director of Education Industry at Microsoft Elevate.
With a Ph.D. from IIT Delhi and postdoctoral experience at United Nations University, Tokyo, Dr. Jauhari has spearheaded strategic engagements with the Ministry of Education, universities, and education boards across India. Her work is centered on AI and digital technology -driven transformation, positively impacting millions of teachers and students nationwide.
Dr. Jauhari has led some of the largest skilling initiatives in Higher Education, including a landmark partnership with the Government of Andhra Pradesh that certified nearly 0.1mn students in emerging technologies such as AI, Data Sciences, and Cloud. She has played a pivotal role in developing curricula for AI, Coding, and Data Sciences, collaborating with leading Boards of Education including IB and CBSE.
Her commitment to educator empowerment is reflected in the creation of learning communities such as the Microsoft Expert Educator community and Microsoft Showcase Schools, earning both national and international recognition. As an education leader at a business school in collaboration with Oxford Brookes University, Dr. Jauhari has authored thirteen books and published over 100 research papers.
She has earlier worked with IIMT( partnership with Oxford Brookes) as Director of the Business and Hospitality School and a full Professor for nearly a decade. She has also worked with HP Labs as Open Innovation Leader in India managing University partnerships for HP Labs researchers.
Her contributions have been recognized with numerous global awards at Microsoft and previous organizations, including the INK Women Award. Recently, she was invited to speak at Harvard University’s AI conference in March 2025, further underscoring her influence and thought leadership in the field.
Professor Levent Altinay will share his experience of successful funding applications to the prestigious funding bodies including EU, Horizon, ESRC (Economic Social Research Council), Newton, British Academy, British Council and TUBITAK. During the workshop, Altinay will cover a wide range of topics including creative idea generation for research funding, formation of multidisciplinary research consortiums, use of networks, research design, dissemination of research findings and the generation of academically robust, practically meaningful research impact.
