BIOGRAPHY
Niusha Talebzadeh is a Doctoral Candidate and Research Assistant in the Faculty of Tourism at Eastern Mediterranean University (Famagusta, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus—TRNC; via Mersin 10, Turkey). She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Tourism Management from EMU and complements her academic career with eight years of professional experience in the tourism industry.
At EMU, Niusha teaches a versatile portfolio of courses at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. This blend of industry practice and classroom leadership shapes a teaching style that is applied, data-informed, and student-centered.
Her research appears in peer-reviewed outlets, like the Journal of Air Transport Management, and spans organizational behavior, leadership, tourism management, and advertising/marketing in tourism. Her dissertation investigates how leadership mindsets and practices enable sustainability in hospitality and tourism organizations, offering actionable implications for managers and policymakers. Her work has been presented at international venues such as the Advances in Hospitality & Tourism Marketing and Management (AHTMM) conference, MTCON, and the International Travel & Tourism Dynamics Conference.
Niusha actively collaborates with faculty as a research assistant, contributing to study design, data collection/analysis, and publication development. She is especially interested in cross-disciplinary projects that translate theory into measurable improvements in service quality, employee well-being, and environmental performance.
